Nice furniture but they just lie about delivery. I’ve ordered on 3 separate occasions now, the first with no issue at all, lovely chairs delivered on time. The second was a shoe bench. I ordered and was aware, per the website, there was a 2 week wait. It took about 6 weeks, a lot of emails and 3 delivery attempts after the first 2 were cancelled on the very day they’d scheduled it for.I’m currently waiting on delivery for a desk I ordered on 6th Jan which, per the website at the time of ordering, would be in stock within a week. Low and behold, I still don’t have it. No one contacts you to say delivery is delayed, you have to go through the chat and find out for yourself. They told me stock would be arriving tomorrow but now the website says stock due in 2 weeks for the same item so who knows how when it will arrive. They shouldn’t take payment until dispatch and really should inform customers of delays, not wait to be asked. All in all, they do just lie about delivery, it’s utterly infuriating. I really should have learnt my lesson last time.

My experience with Cotswold has been absolutely awful, if I had my chance again I would scrap my order and take my money elsewhere for a better standard of service! I have spent a fortune with this company and waited months for my delivery and when it did arrive today, pieces were missing, pieces were damaged and I received an item I didn't even order - what a total shambles, even the customer service agent admitted it himself! Take my advice spend your money elsewhere, honestly the hassle I'm having to go through is really not worth the stress!

Great quality and service

Recently bought the Chantilly Bedroom set, very impressed with the quality - all drawers are reinforced underneath and made with solid wood. Went back and bought a sideboard and was very impressed again. Also love the fact everything comes built and literally ready to go.

Quality product & service

Communication on the progress of the order was very good.The company delivering kept us informed and delivered exactly when they said they would.The product itself is well made and we are very pleased with it.Very likely to use Cotswold again.

Console table

Bought a console table & absolutely love it. Fabulous quality for the money & looks great in my porch.Communication was excellent and delivery was prompt.Will definitely use this company again & highly recommend.

Very Unhappy

As a previous customer, albeit a number of years ago, I didn't hesitate to place an order with the Cotswold Co having been let down by a previous company. I ordered a chest of drawers and a bed. On opening the chest I saw immediately that one of the legs was split. At this point I was not going to remove it from the box but was asked to take numerous photos from the Customer Service Team. On removing from the box, I found a large crack down the side, further damage beside one of the drawers and damage to the top. Incredulously I was asked if I wanted to keep the item if I would accept a refund of £100. Sorry but this is a ridiculous suggestion, this item is unusable! I then immediately removed the packaging from the bed to check for damage and everything seemed to be fine. My husband began to construct the bed and discovered that the bottom of the centre rail was bent and also unusable. Tonight will be the 5th night of sleeping on the floor. I have explained that I have a back problem which is exacerbated by sleeping on the floor. I was informed four days ago that ordering the new part would take 24 hrs! I have now been informed parts processing takes 3-5 days! This misinformation and ignoring emails is very poor. Not a happy customer.Update 10 May - Huge thanks to Thomas White for resolving the issues we had with our order and for restoring our faith in the Cotswold Company.

Worst customer service experience ever!

My overall experience with Cotswold Company has been absolutely shocking and I will never be ordering from them again. Not because of the furniture itself but from the customer service and the lack of support and truth behind everything that was being advised to me! I’ve never had such bad service from any company I have ever used and I order from variety of different companies! As a company, if they wish more people to come back and buy their product they need to seriously sort out the customer service side of things first! Without customers you have no company and Cotswold Company clearly don’t prioritise their customer!

Ordered my larder in December and still…

Ordered my larder in December and still waiting. Delivery times keep changing, no communication. I don't normally write bad reviews but having spent over a grand on something I would expect a bit more honesty and better communication. The dates I've been told have been and gone on numerous occasions.

Great Quality Chests, shame about the knobs.

Order Reference: 2343903 I purchased x2 Pensham chest of drawers in dove grey. The quality of the chests are beyond any criticism as they are truly beautifully made, robust and look superb in our bedroom. Delivered on time and were very well packaged/protected. I really wanted to give these chest of drawers a 5 star rating. Unfortunately the drawer knobs have let them down. Of the 16 knobs (2 chests) 3 knob screws have just spun inside the knob leaving the 3 knobs insecure (pulls away in your hand when used). I have not overtightened the screws as the remaining 13 knobs will justify. Either the screw thread or knob thread is at fault here as the screws just spin. Such a shame as the product is otherwise of very good quality and we like a lot. Oh well! I guess a drop of superglue may solve the issue when I get time.Order Reference: 2343903

Quality goods but better ideas on the colour of products would help get the order right first time. And not all colours available as samples.Ivory is cream. Super service arranging a return and repurchase. Thank you

Nice furniture but not the best service!

I was told 2/3 weeks delivery so paid in full but it took 7 weeks and they then delivered the wrong TV unit. Customer services were not brilliant and I’m not sure what would have happened if I hadn’t realised that another customer had mine and I had hers. They arranged the swap but there was a mix up with another courier coming later in the day to collect the one I didn’t get! I honestly felt the customer service team didn’t really care too much which was disappointing.

Good quality well built furniture

The Cotswold Company is the ideal answer if you are looking to purchase good quality well built furniture with plenty of choice. Not the cheapest products, but good value sturdy furniture and you get what you pay for. No cheap flat packs here, everything is delivered fully assembled. The order process is easy, followed by frequent communication updates on the quick and free delivery. Just to conclude, each item is extremely well packed and well protected to prevent damage during transit.
